Lighter Learning creates emotionally safe, trauma-informed environments where children can learn, regulate, and grow without pressure. Our approach is rooted in relational trust, sensory awareness, and a deep respect for each chids space. We design spaces that feel calm, grounded, and predictable - places where families feel supported and children can reconnect with curiosity and confidence.

Behind Lighter Learning CIC is a small, dedicated team with a shared passion for creating calm, supportive environments where children and families can truly thrive.
From experienced teachers and trauma-informed practitioners to volunteers with lived experience and a deep understanding of SEND, our team brings warmth, patience, and genuine care to everything we do.
We offer gentle, child-led support that puts connection first — whether that’s through learning sessions, emotional support, or simply providing a safe place to feel seen, understood, and supported..

What We Offer
Home Education Days
Tuesdays & Wednesdays 10am to 3pm
Calm, structurd learning for home educated children. We offer project based activities, gentle literacy and numeracy, sesnory-aware tasks, and a predicatable rhythm that supports regulation and confidence.
Functional Skills
Maths & English (E3, Level 1 & 2)
A trauma informed, low pressure route to accredited qualifications. Flexible pacing, one to one or small groups, and clear steps that build confidence without overwhelm.
Alternative Provision (DCC Approved)
Pre-16 NEET, Re-engagement & Tutoring.
We are an approved provider on the Devon County Council AP Framework, offering relational, trauma informed support for young people who need a safe, consistent alternative to mainstream.
